When friends and family ask what you do all day, what do you tell them?
I work with customers to find what they want or create a solution for their needs.

What’s the single most important ingredient when it comes to a successful client relationship?
Being friendly & honest.

How would you describe your approach to tackling challenges when it comes to the client?
I always listen to the customer’s full concern, address their concern, and find then a solution. For example, a client recently reached out to me because they were unable to use one of our cabinets due to an issue with the door. Rather than having them return the entire cabinet so we could ship them a new one, we sent them replacement hinges and even included some extra screws so the customer was able to address the issue as quickly and effectively as possible.

How would your clients describe working with you and your team?
Our clients would say we have superior customer service! I just recently received an email with those exact words from the customer who needed the door replacement. 

How would you describe the company culture at GLCC?
Great Lakes is a great company to work for! The inside sales department is a fun atmosphere, we are all close, and we can bounce ideas and solutions off one another to come up with the best solution. I truly enjoy coming to work every day!

What’s the most exciting trend you see really taking hold in the coming 2 years?
Companies becoming more secure by integrating new advanced technologies that we have not traditionally worked with.

What aspect of GLCC’s approach to their work do you see really making a difference for clients?
Our engineering department is continuously coming up with new solutions for custom products that other manufacturers cannot make. For example, GLCC made custom overhead boxes to fit in a very restricted space for a large medical company that had completed the first phase of their project with a competitor’s cabinet. GLCC was able to not only customize an overhead cabinet, but also meet their limited time schedule. They were so impressed with GLCC that they came to us to design their new data center!

How has your perspective on your work changed since you first started out?
I had no idea how large the data security industry was or how in demand our products were.

What’s the #1 “rookie mistake” you see in those just starting out their career in your field?
Not understanding the product. I started out working in our warehouse, so I was more familiar with the part numbers and what I was selling. 

What show are you currently binge watching or what’s next up in the queue?
Games of Thrones and Vikings is up next.

If you had a personal motto, what would it be?
“It is what it is.”
