Knockouts on the top of the enclosure allow overhead cable pass through. Top Cable Troughs (TCT) and Ladder Rack Brackets (LRB) facilitate overhead cabling while eliminating the need for any infrastructure changes. LRB are available in a 3" fixed height or adjustable heights (6.5-11.5" and 14-24") and can support 12-24" wide ladder rack. To prevent bypass airflow, knockouts can be covered with brush grommet.
Brush Grommet Rail Kit
The brush grommet rail kit (BGRK) installs along the front rails to prevent bypass airflow and hot air recirculation, while still allowing cable pass through. The BGRK features a perforated, thin metal strip that attaches to the FMP. When baffle kits or other accessories are intalled along the rail, sections of the metal can be removed to allow installation of the BGRK.
EN Enclosure feature fixed front rails, fixed rear corner posts, and adjustable rear rails (rear rails move independently of corner posts). Rails are available in 3/8" sq. (M6) or #10-32 mounting.
Horizontal Cable Manager
The horizontal cable manager installs on the side of the rails (using the FMP) to support cables from the front to rear of the enclosure. Obrounds allow cables to be secured with cinch straps.
Power Strip Brackets
One pair of PDU brackets is installed on each rear corner post. Brackets allow button mounting of up to two PDUs (mounting depends on width of the PDU) and can be repositioned vertically to accept various PDU sizes.
Single mesh doors are dual hinged to allow left or right hand opening. When two enclosures are ganged together, doors can open in opposite directions, creating a large space where cables are easily accessible.
Flexible Mounting Profile
Each rail and post features Great Lakes' Flexible Mounting Profile (FMP), a series of holes along the rail but outside of the EIA pattern. The FMP allows a variety of accessories--including ZR brackets which allow installation of 19: equipment--to be directly mounted to the rail without taking up RMU space.
Cable Management "Fingers"
"Fingers" are standard on each EN configuration and are installed along the FMP of the front rails and rear corner posts. Each 7 RMU section of the "fingers" can be moved and installed in any of the FMP holes.
Optional baffle kits can be added to create proper airflow for side-to-side airflow equipment, such as Cisco switches. Baffles direct cool air into the right of equipment and exhaust is directed out the left of equipment where it is able to leave the rear of the enclosure. Baffle kits are available for popular size switches, ranging from 7 to 25 RMU.
