Great Lakes Case & Cabinet Co. Inc. Launches New, Broadcast, Sound and Security Line
Edinboro, PA – – For more than 23 years, Great Lakes Case & Cabinet Co. Inc. has designed, engineered and manufactured high quality racks and enclosures for the data, telecommunications and electronic equipment industries. Throughout this period, Great Lakes has also gained a reputation as a leading manufacturer of customized products not only for these industries but also for corporate clients, integrators, broadcast sound and security consultants and electrical contractors.
As a result of that experience and lessons learned, the company is announcing the launch of its new Broadcast, Sound and Security (or BS2) line of products specifically designed to better serve the needs of the audio visual, broadcast and security industries.
According to Dan Adamus, Director of Marketing and Product Management, the line will be formally launched at the ISC East Show, at New York’s Javits Center, on October 29th. “We have been working on this line for a number of months and we have been providing a number of these products for years, by request from our customers. With the digital changes taking place in the broadcast industry and the tremendous increase in security by businesses small and large, we believed now was the right time for us to formalize this portfolio of products,” Adamus said.
The line includes a number of traditional Great Lakes two and four-post racks, wall mounts and accessories (cable management, shelving, power) Adamus said, but it also includes a number of new products never before offered by Great Lakes.
“We’re very excited by the quality and versatility of these new products. Our new “Triple Play” enclosure is designed to broadcast standards and can easily handle any rack-mounted equipment from tube based transmitters to blade servers in a single enclosure,” he said. “We also offer a number of protective racks and specialized enclosures and equipment covers spanning applications from cameras, to ceiling-mounted “wi-fi” boxes and rack-mounts, to a secure, mobile work station with flat-screen mount,” he said.
Adamus also discussed Great Lakes’ repackaging of the company’s ADVANTAGE Technical Furniture products and its SENTRY Console offerings which are now to be offered as part of the BS2 portfolio. “We have made some significant improvements to both of these products to reflect the evolving needs of the technical and command center furniture industries. All Great Lakes furniture products provide stylish and highly functional solutions where work spaces, networking, cable management and the mounting of multiple flat screen monitors are required,” he said. Adamus said that Great Lakes has researched the need for multiple screens to be mounted at a single work station. ‘We are pleased to be working with the Ergotech Group for all our monitor mounting solutions. The Ergotech products we are using are incredibly easy to install and to adjust, providing tremendous versatility and adaptability in a clean and highly-styled application whether for a single screen or a large multi-screen array.”
Adamus said the BS2 portfolio of products will be outlined in their own catalog, and on the company’s web site, www.werackyourworld.com on October 29th. He said the products will be available through a wide variety of distributors, in addition to those which currently carry the company’s traditional line of data-communication products.
