Ladder Rack Brackets
Hole patterns on top of the enclosure allow ladder rack brackets (to be used with ladder rack or basket tray) to be installed. The fully welded enclosure frame is able to support heavy cable bundles - eliminating the need for any overhead infrastructure changes.
The exhaust chimney serves as a duct that assists in the removal of hot air from the enclosure. The process of removing exhaust can be accelerated with the use of optional fan trays.
Cable Knockouts & Brush
Vertical knockouts on the side of the frame allow cables to be routed from one enclosure to the next when enclosures are ganged together. After removal of knockouts, edge grommet can be placed around the metal edge to protect cables. Use brush grommet to cover knockouts and prevent air re-circulation.
To safeguard equipment, it must be properly grounded with the user of a copper bus bar. Bus Bars install vertically on the back side of the rail utilizing the FMP. Once the bar is installed, each piece of equipment is independently connected to the bus bar.
Air managers mount to the bottom RMU of the enclosure to "manage" the flow of under floor conditioned air into the enclosure. Optional fan trays can be added to increase cooling to the front of equipment.
As part of new UL2416 requirements, enclosures are configured with grounding kits that feature quick disconnect wires. When doors and side panels need to be removed, simply pull the wires apart.
Top Cable Knockouts & TCT
30"W Enclosures feature knockouts on the top of the enclosure to allow overhead cable pass through. Each knockout can be covered with a piece of brush grommet to prevent air re-circulation. As an overhead cable option, top cable troughs (TCT) can be installed.
Power Strip Brackets
Power Strip Mounting Brackets (standard with each enclosure) allow mounting of most major brand PDUs, as well as Great Lakes' Vertical Cable Troughs; the combination of PDUs and VCTs will determine how many of each can be mounted. 42"D enclosures feature brackets with 3 mounting positions; 48"D enclosures feature brackets with 5 mounting positions.
Brush Grommet Rail Kit
The brush grommet rail kit (BGRK) installs along the FMP of the front rails to prevent bypass airflow and hot air re-circulation, while still allowing cable pass through. Use the BGRK and filler panels to seal openings within the front of the enclosure.
Vertical Cable Trough
VCTs can be installed by mounting them to PDU brackets. An optional cover can be added to the trough to protect cables.
Contour Mesh Door
Mesh pattern features 65% open area, allowing the optimal amount of cool air into the enclosure. Fan assemblies can mount to the mesh to eliminate hot spots within the enclosure. The bar is installed, each piece of equipment is independently connected to the bus bar.
Each ES enclosure features four fully adjustable mounting rails, available in 3/8" sq. (M6) or #10-32 mounting. Each rail features a Flexible Mounting Profile (FMP), a series of holes along the rail but outside of the EIA pattern. The FMP allows a variety of accessories to be directly mounted to the rail without taking up RMU space.
